About Brant Hamilton
Brant Hamilton was an amazing 6-year-old boy who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2003. Despite his treatments and a relapse of disease in 2004, Brant had a zest for life, a deep sense of faith, and the ability to touch the lives of many people that he would never get to meet in his short life.
Brant won his courageous battle with cancer on October 29, 2005, but had to leave his body to do so. He was a true gift from God for 6 years, 10 months, and 16 days.
In honor of Brant, we have set aside one of his favorite holidays to pay tribute to him. Brant’s Great Pumpkin Festival will be held every year around Halloween. The festival will feature a 5k run, fun family activities, and great food. Please join us for this very special day!

Brant’s Great Pumpkin Race in conjunction with Brant’s Great Pumpkin Festival will take place Saturday, October 11, 2008, at the Earlham School. There will be a 5k Run/Walk and 1-mile Run/Walk. A free Kid’s Run and Ghoul, Ghost & Goblin Gallop, which is a quarter-mile costume run for all ages, will follow the 5k & 1-mile races.

Included with your registration for the race you get a quality 2008 Brant’s Great Pumpkin Race long-sleeved T-shirt and post race refreshments. You may register:

Brant's Great Pumpkin Festival Please join us after the race for lunch and an afternoon of family-fun. Free Carnival Fun for the Kids including bounce house, Shriner clowns, face painting, carnival games, pumpkin walk and hayrack rides. Fabulous food will be provided including Central Iowa's famous Master Griller BBQ, real Iowa corn on the cob as well as a variety of pumpkin pies and desserts.
